Katie S. Phang is a lawyer and legal analyst for MSNBC and NBC and also hosts her show “The Katie Phang Show” on MSNBC. She is the only Asian with her name on a program. She is a founding partner of Phang Feldman and was an assistant professor of litigation skills at the University of Miami School of Law.
Growing up, she trained on piano and violin and took lessons at the UM Frost School of Music. While at Yale University, she joined a college a cappella singing group.

She is the author and publisher of the 10th edition of the “Florida Practitioner’s Guide: Civil Trial Preparation,” which is “designed to guide the attorney through all phases of trial preparation, from interviewing the client in the preparation of final argument and instructions to the jury”.
Katie is also a media relations and crisis management consultant. She provides strategic advice on communication in times of crisis. Using her legal and media experience, she creates and executes impending event horizons and long-range plans to prepare for an expected crisis or to manage a current crisis. She also provides media training for television, radio and digital media appearances.
