1:41 p.m.: THE stoppage of play store at Village of Westwood was held up at gunpoint around 12:30 p.m. today. The thief was allegedly armed with a handgun and stole some cash before running out of the store and towards Roxhill Park through SW Barton. This is where police arrested two people minutes later, but determined they were not the people they were looking for, so their search resumed. We are going back over the archived audio files and adding any descriptive information we find. No injuries reported at the store.
2:07 p.m.: The descriptions released on the police report were of two black men, possibly in their early twenties, one 6’1″ and light-skinned, the other 5’9″ and darker-skinned , with black clothes, white shoes and light-colored shoes. masks, including one with a silver handgun. Police also spoke with a person who saw two possible suspects jump into a vehicle (no description of this) on 31 SW and head south “at high speed”. If you have any information, the SPD incident number is 23-68210.
2:47 p.m.: SPD just published an article about it, with an additional detail – the thieves also got away with a client’s wallet.
