Thanks for the advice on the shots early this morning at Village of Westwood. The SPD usually releases report summaries for confirmed shooting incidents, but not so far today, so we didn’t hear about this 5 a.m. incident until a tip there a short time. According to archived police radio audio, employees at the Westwood Starbucks store reported seeing a woman with a gun who appeared to be shooting into a car outside. Police arrived and found the car, arrested two people and said they found casings. No injuries have been reported so far – and the lack of any ‘scenes of violence’ dispatch from the SFD would seem to verify this – but we are following the SPD and SFD on this as well as whether any of the either or both of the detainees were subsequently arrested.
