If you want to run for the opening of our region Seattle City Council, King County CouncilOr Seattle Public School Board seats, last call! tomorrow begins King County Elections‘ five days Deposit week for the August 1 primary. Some candidates have already registered campaigns with the state Public Disclosure Commission, but they are not officially on the ballot unless they follow filing procedures between 9 a.m. tomorrow and 4 p.m. Friday (May 19). So far, as we have reported, the headquarters of District 1 of the City Council which Lisa Herbold share had seven registered campaigns (although only six of those candidates – Preston AndersonStephen Brown, Maren Costa, Jean Iannelli Craciun, Rob Saka and Phil Tavel – have announced candidates); the seat of District 8 of the County Council which Joe McDermott part in two recorded campaigns, those of Burien Maire Sophie Aragon and member of the Seattle City Council Therese Mosque; and the headquarters of Seattle School Board District 6 which Leslie Harris part has a candidate registered so far, RoseLynne McCarter. PS All those who deposit this week for the city council D-1 will be invited to the forum that we present on June 6 at the OLG Walmesley Center (35th/Myrtle), in person and online, with a Neighborhood Organizations Info Fair at 6 p.m. and the Forum starting at 7 p.m. THE 34th District Democrats present forums for the municipal council D-1 and the departmental council D-8 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on June 10 at Youngstown Cultural Arts Center (4408 Delridge Way SW).
