Four and a half years later Roxbury Auto Parts was forced to close, the site has just been put up for sale. In 2018, the building at 2839 SW Roxbury was “tagged red” by King County (it sits just south of the city limits), stating that the building was unsafe and its back wall was at risk to collapse. The store’s third-generation owners – who rented the site – had to close and never reopened. The building has remained vacant and vandalized ever since. It’s on a half-acre site described in the listing as “Perfect development site with 155 feet of frontage on SW Roxbury. …Ideal location for a restaurant chain or other commercial/mixed-use applications. Asking price: $1,375,000.
