Trent Taylor, 21, shot and killed at Shively Animal Clinic

The 21-year-old male victim who died of a gunshot wound at a Shively animal hospital on Sunday night has been identified as Trent L. Taylor, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.

Shively Police Sgt. Jordan Brown said an altercation took place at Shively’s clinic and animal hospital on Dixie Highway that eventually escalated into a shootout, resulting in Taylor’s injury.

He was quickly transported to the University of Louisville Hospital but sadly passed away.
