TLC forevera two-hour documentary about the TLC chart-topping R&B group, is set to debut on Lifetime and A&E in June, after years of delay.
The two-hour special follows the ups and downs of America’s best-selling girl group of all time and features Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas telling their story in their own words.
Formed in Atlanta in 1990, TLC consisted of T-Boz, Chilli and the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. The trio have sold over 85 million records worldwide, won four Grammy Awards, five MTV Video Music Awards and five Soul Train Music Awards. Over the years, they’ve landed nine top ten hits, including the No. 1 singles “Creep”, “Waterfalls”, “No Scrubs” and “Unpretty”.
But with the success came internal fallout, bankruptcy and illness. When Left Eye died in 2002, the band faced an uncertain future and felt abandoned by the entertainment industry despite their accomplishments. Now the remaining members are launching a new tour in the summer of 2023.

TLC forever comes from executive producer Roger Ross Williams. The film was first announced in 2020, under the title Biography: TLC. Williams said at the time, “As someone who has long admired TLC and its musical and cultural impact, I’m thrilled to be a part of their music story, their journey, and their continued reverence for life. ‘screen.”
Now, after numerous delays, the documentary will premiere ahead of the band’s new tour.
TLC forever is produced by One Story Up and Lauren Fulton for Lifetime and A&E Network. Matthew Kay directs. Other executive producers include Geoff Martz, Tionne Watkins, Rozonda Thomas, Bill Diggins, Rick Krim, Elaine Frontain Bryant, and Brad Abramson.
The film will simulcast on Lifetime and sister network A&E on Saturday, June 3 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
