Tina Knowles-Lawson’s Los Angeles home burglarized

An investigation is underway into a burglary at Tina Knowles-Lawson’s home in Los Angeles, authorities confirmed on Sunday.

The break-in happened in the Hollywood Hills on the morning of Wednesday, July 5, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

There was no one home at the time of the burglary, police said.

The LAPD’s media relations section said a police report was written after the burglary, but the department did not confirm who lives at the scene.

No arrests had been made Sunday morning.

TMZwhich was one of the first outlets to report the crime, said the thieves took a safe containing more than $1 million in cash and jewelry.

Law enforcement sources said investigators at the outlet were talking to neighbors and planning to comb through security footage of the area.

Knowles-Lawson is the mother of Beyoncé and Solange Knowles.

She divorced music manager Mathew Knowles in 2011 and married actor Richard Lawson in 2015.

Knowles-Lawson is a fashion designer known for launching the House of Deréon and Miss Tina by Tina Knowles brands.

Last year she had a role in Lifetime’s Wrath: A Tale of Seven Deadly Sins with former Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams, Monique Coleman, Romeo Miller and Antonio Cupo.

The film premiered on April 16, 2022 and was part of the network Seven capital sins anthology film series from executive producers TD Jakes, Derrick Williams and Shaun Robinson. Based on the book series by Victoria Christopher Murray, Anger was the third film in the franchise.

Knowles-Lawson also produced the OWN docuseries Profiled: The Black Man. The four-part series premiered in February 2022 and examined the origins of stereotypes about black men in America.
