I hereby believe it appropriate to impose the penalty of ‘REMOVAL FROM SERVICE WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT’ for conduct unbecoming a railway officer,” the statement read.

The incident comes months after two similar cases were reported on two Air India flights – New York to Delhi and Paris to Delhi.

On November 26, a “drunken” passenger urinated on a fellow passenger on an Air India flight from New York to Delhi. Just ten days after the shocking incident, another such incident took place on the Paris-Delhi sector when a man peed on a female passenger’s blanket.

Shankar Mishra, the defendant in the first case, was arrested in January and banned from the airline for four months. No criminal action was taken in the second incident after the passenger issued a written apology.
