Based in West Seattle Bayfest Youth Theatera 33-year-old nonprofit, has worked with the school for years to reestablish “a high-quality drama program that can deliver productions to the school and community.”

The curtain goes up Friday night on the play ‘She Kills Monsters’, described in the Bayfest announcement as ‘a high-octane comedy-drama by an acclaimed playwright Who Nguyen which offers a thrilling dive into the world of dungeons and dragons, murderous fairies, cheerleaders and the fight against evil. It pays homage to the geek and warrior in all of us and explores themes of loss, identity and friendship, with original music, projected animations and plenty of thrilling combat sequences – swords, axes of magical combat and conflict! »
