If you are thinking of being part of this year Buckle the ‘Lupe – the only 5K obstacle course in our region – this is the week to register. Prices go up on Friday for three of the five tiers you can participate in this year – the Family Wave 5K Obstacle Coursenew Elite Wave 5K Obstacle CourseOr 5K Fun Race. You can benefit from the first prizes by going here to register. Loop the ‘Lupe arrives June 3 at Walt Hundley Playground (34th/Myrtle), next to Our Lady of Guadalupe, whose community social work is supported by the event. (Loop the ‘Lupe also includes Senior Saunter and Youth 1K options, but those prices only change a few days before LTL.) Set your schedule for June 3 even if you don’t want to run/walk/dodge – music, food and an outdoor cafe will be set up on the sidelines so everyone can celebrate a day in the park.
