Announcement of a public hearing to consider amendments to the Abbotsford Zoning By-law, 2014 and Land Use Agreement No. 164

Abbotsford City Council will hold a public hearing under the Local Government Act on February 13, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium, 32315 South Fraser Way, Abbotsford, BC to consider the following bylaws. Video of this meeting will be streamed live and archived on the city’s website www.abbotsford.ca/watchcouncillin.

Any person who believes that his or her interest in the property will be adversely affected by the proposed laws will be given a reasonable opportunity to be heard or to submit written submissions on the issues contained in the laws that are the subject of the hearing. Written comments may be sent or delivered electronically to the City Clerk at [email protected], by fax to 604-853-1934, by mail to: City Clerk, City of Abbotsford, 32315 South Fraser Way, Abbotsford, BC V2T 1W7 personally on the 5th floor of City Hall at the above address. In order for the Board’s written comments to be considered prior to the meeting, they must be received no later than noon on February 13, 2023. Comments may also be provided in person at the public hearing.

The following is a summary of the City of Abbotsford Zoning Amendment Bylaws and Land Use Agreement No. 164 and should not be construed as an interpretation. A copy of each of these bylaws may be viewed at the Planning Services Division (2nd Floor, City Hall, 32315 South Fraser Way) between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) beginning January 31, 2023. until February 13, 2023, or the full report of the planning staff on the respective statutes can be viewed either at reception (2nd floor) or online. LAND USE AGREEMENT NO. 164 RELIEF LAW

ARTICLE NUMBER 3220-2023

SUBJECT COUNTRY: 2943 McBride St.

CURRENT LAND USE REGULATIONS: Land Use Agreement No. 164

AIM: If Ordinance #3220-2023 is passed, Land Use Agreement #164 would release title to the affected property. The current underlying urban residential area (RS3) would then regulate development and allow for secondary suite accommodation.
