Al-Marsad Newspaper: Egyptian police arrested content creators Basma Hegazy, known for Warda, Mohamed Hossam and others, after they published the satirical “The Visit” video.

The clip depicts a comical scene, which drew criticism in the media, after they were accused of terrorism.

The competent investigative authorities in Egypt ordered the detention of Muhammad Hossam El-Din, known as “Basa” and Basma Hegazy, known as “Warda”, for 15 days, pending investigations.

Investigating authorities accused the accused of participating in a terrorist group whose aim is to spread fake news and disrupt public peace and security, according to Egyptian media.

The decision came after the relevant investigative authorities monitored Basma Hijazi who broadcasts fake news and joined a terrorist group.
