Six arrested, including 15-year-old minor, in connection with Dadeville Mahogany Masterpiece mass shooting

On Thursday, April 20, special agents from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) made a sixth arrest in connection with the Tallapoosa County Dadeville death investigation.

A 15-year-old Tuskegee miner has been arrested and formally charged with four counts of reckless murder.

A total of six arrests have been made after a complex and thorough investigation was carried out with the help of a multitude of law enforcement agencies, following the shooting that took place on Saturday April 15, near of the 200 block of Broadnax Street in Dadeville, located in Tallapoosa County.

The shooting left four people dead and 32 injured. Tyreese “Ty Reik” McCullough, 17, of Tuskegee and Travis McCullough, 16, also of Tuskegee, were both arrested around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18. Wilson LaMar Hill Jr., 20, of Auburn, was arrested around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, and Johnny Letron Brown, 20, of Tuskegee, was arrested around 8 a.m., and Willie George Brown Jr., 19, of Auburn, was arrested and formally charged with four counts of reckless murder on Thursday, April 20.

All of those arrested in connection with this death investigation have been charged with four counts of reckless murder and they have been incarcerated in the Tallapoosa County Jail without bail, except for the 15-year-old minor.

Dadeville Police Department, Tuskegee Police Department, Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Office, Macon County Sheriff’s Office, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ( ATF), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the United States Marshals Service, and the 5th Circuit District Attorney’s Office were all instrumental in assisting and supporting the investigation, as well as locating and apprehending the suspects.
