At approximately 12:30 p.m. on May 1, 2023, authorities and firefighters quickly attended 1650 Central Avenue’s Tru by Hilton St. Petersburg Downtown due to reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, officers from the St. Petersburg department found a victim and asked fire crews to assess his condition.
Another victim was found and transported to a nearby trauma center in addition to the first victim.
The condition of the victims is unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
At this time, it is not known if any suspects are in custody.
It is suspected that the suspect(s) left the scene in a vehicle.
