Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday slammed as a “rumor” the Law Enforcement Directorate’s claim that proceeds of crime worth Rs 600 crore were detected during searches of premises belonging to him and members of his immediate family.
The RJD leader, who is currently away in Delhi alongside his wife who is expecting their first child, also said the BJP would be embarrassed if it released the “panchnama” (seizure list) signed after the raids.
“Just remember that in 2007 transactions worth Rs 8,000 crore including a shopping mall and hundreds of land were alleged,” Yadav tweeted, in an obvious reference to the scam. of land against hotels concerning the tenure of his father Lalu Prasad as the Minister of Railways.
