Ron DeSantis shows off his pitch and waxes baseball days

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis joined ‘One Nation with Brian Kilmeade’ to discuss how exposure to left-wing ideology has shaped his political ethos and outlook for 2024 – on the baseball field of his own hometown.

He recounted his time with the Dunedin Little League team, which included a trip to the Little League World Series, before starting four years with the Yale Bulldogs baseball team.

Fox News host Brian Kilmeade asked DeSantis about his experience at Yale.

“I had never been to New England in my life. I didn’t know. I didn’t know colleges were liberal back then, okay? I had no idea what I was getting myself into at Yale. You know, it was a historic institution. I was like, ‘Hey, I’m from Dunedin. If I can get a degree there, it will open doors for me. Right?” said DeSantis.

“I didn’t think about it at the time, but it helped me acquire a political philosophy because I was exposed to left-wing ideology. I had never been exposed to this. »

Kilmeade addressed March 8, the 40th anniversary of former President Ronald Reagan’s “evil empire” speech, and whether DeSantis thinks China belongs in that “evil empire” category today.

“China is our most significant military, strategic and economic threat. We were closer to nuclear war then because if you had a misstep, both sides were wired, and we had mutually assured destruction, which we had to rely on to keep that, but the Soviet Union, they don’t didn’t have much influence on our society. They had a relatively weak economy,” DeSantis said. “China, you know, we have become economically dependent on them. They hold a lot of power. »

Senator Lindsey Graham, RS.C., called this week for the “fury and might” of the United States to be unleashed against Mexican drug cartels.

DeSantis said America needs fully enforced and supported border policies to designate Mexican cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.

“Anyone who doesn’t want to fully enforce the policy like Biden, people will be able to come in, and we just can’t have that,” he said.
