Priscilla Presley sets the record straight.
The ex-wife of Elvis Presley apparently refused to have a burial site next to the legendary singer during a negotiation for the trust of his late daughter Lisa Marie Presley.
The 77-year-old was offered to rest with the rock n roll legend at his iconic state, Graceland, in Memphis, Tennessee. However, she outright denied the request.
Not only Elvis, but several members of his family rest on the grounds of his beloved estate.
Presley’s only child, Lisa Marie Presley, who tragically died Jan. 12 after suffering cardiac arrest, was also buried next to her son Benjamin Keough. The late actor was just 27 when he took his own life in July 2020.
Many believe that Lisa Marie died of a broken heart after the death of her son.

News of Priscilla’s decision came just days after it was announced that she and her granddaughter Riley Keough have now settled their dispute over Lisa Marie’s trust.
In a statement released earlier this week, the businesswoman said:
“My family has resolved any confusion regarding our plea to court and our request for interpretation of documents following the untimely death of my daughter Lisa Marie,”
“As a family, we are happy to have solved this problem together. My family and I hope everyone will give us the privacy we needed to properly mourn Lisa Marie and spend some personal time together.
“We all love and appreciate you and the Presley family is stronger than ever.”
According to the lawyers, Riley, who is the sole beneficiary of her mother’s trust, was also very happy with the way the deal ended.

The relationship, marriage and divorce of Elvis and Priscilla Presley
Priscilla and Elvis were only married for six years, from 1967 to 1973. They first met in 1959 at a house party in Germany. Elvis was 10 years her senior. At the time, Presley was serving in the military.
Recalling their first meeting, Priscilla later said,
“When we met I was an impressionable 14-year-old teenager. He was 24”
“He was better looking than he appeared in the movies, younger and more vulnerable with his GI haircut.”
On Christmas 1966, Presley, famous for having had several affairs, proposed to Priscilla. In 2017, she recalled the day, saying,
“It was a surprise,”
“He got down on his knees with a present on his back and told me to close my eyes. Which I did and then told me to open them and he presented me with a beautiful engagement ring .
Speaking of their intimate Vegas wedding that had just 14 guests, Priscilla said in 1973,
“Although many people thought our marriage was sudden, Elvis and I talked about it in stages,”
Exactly nine months after their wedding, the couple welcomed their daughter, Lisa Marie, on February 1, 1968.
In October 1973, the couple amicably finalized the divorce after multiple affairs.
