Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder are officially parents of two
Nikki Roseau and she husband Ian Somerhalder expanded their family!
THE Dusk alum, 35, took to Instagram on Thursday, June 29, to share the happy news that she and husband Somerhalder have welcomed their second child.
It’s a little boy. The couple are already parents to their 5-year-old child daughter Bodhi.
The baby arrived five months after the couple first announced their pregnancy to the world. In January, she posted a photo of herself holding Bodhi with one hand while cradling her baby bump with the other in a beautiful outdoor setting.

The actress hinted at her pregnancy a day before sharing a photo of herself holding a blanket to her chest while partially cropped at the frame. She then shared a photo of a field of flowers writing alongside the photo,
“Meanwhile, I’m here pooping and pissing on it, but let’s pretend life is glamorous for a second 😉 Although truth be told, I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Nikki Reed prefers to keep a low profile when it comes to her personal life
She shared a photo of her baby boy’s hand on her Instagram Story and wrote alongside the photo,
“A few weeks ago we welcomed our son, “on what can only be described as one of the happiest days of my life.”
She further said the baby was delivered at home “surrounded by so much love”.
The actress went on to say that she wanted to announce the birth of their baby on her terms, as she has set strict boundaries with social media when it comes to her children.
She continued,
“I wanted to share first so I can say thank you in advance for respecting these boundaries and sending positivity, kindness and LOVE.”
Reed also shows gratitude to his midwife and doctors “for helping to gently guide this sweet boy into the world.”
THE Thirteen The actors have also previously claimed that they decided to keep their family life a secret as the news of her pregnancy was “too good not to share”.
She wrote,
“As you all know I have very strong boundaries with social media, especially when it comes to children and what I choose to put out into the world, thank you so much for honoring that and sending love. positivity, kindness and LOVE. Some things are too good not to share :).
