Authorities are investigating an incident early Saturday morning in Roxbury that resulted in a double shooting, leaving Nelson Curet dead and another injured.
After receiving a report of a shooting on McGreevy Way in Mission Hill around midnight, responding officers were observed placing evidence markers along the roadway.
Both victims were quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where Nelson was tragically pronounced dead.
The sister of the late Nelson Curet, speaking to FOX3 News off camera, expressed her shock at learning of her brother’s shooting, saying he didn’t deserve such a fate.
She shared that he leaves behind three children, five siblings and a grieving mother.
According to her, he was loved by all and had a vibrant personality, always bringing any gathering to life.
She emphasized that he cared deeply about others and had a positive impact on everyone he met.
