Martin Bayfield is an English television actor and former rugby union player. Bayfield played forward for Bedford Blues, Northampton Saints and England, earning 31 England caps and 3 Lions.

In 1991 he made his England debut and although he was left out of the 1991 World Cup squad, he was part of the 1992 Five Nations Grand Slam winning squad.

Martin was on the 1993 British Lions tour of New Zealand and was part of the 1995 World Cup squad. Martin will play 18 times in partnership with Martin Johnson.

His last appearance for England came in the 1996 Five Nations game against Wales. His last match was against Gloucester in February 1998; a neck injury suffered in training a few days later forced him to retire.
