Marques Houston is once again making headlines, this time for claiming that controversial comments he made while explaining the two-decade age gap with his wife were taken “out of context”.

As previously reported, the singer and actor spoke with page 6 earlier this week and said he dated women his own age years ago, but they came with too much “baggage”.

He added of women with children: “Nothing against single women, but single mothers with children are a red flag for me.”

Houston’s comments were met with swift backlash. Now the No Exit star issued an apology.

On Wednesday, he took to his Instagram story to clarify his comments.
