Keanu Reeves enjoyed his ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ assists!

The actor, who has a reputation as one of the most generous celebrities, showed that side when he gifted the movie’s stunt performers with hilarious but unforgettable shirts. The t-shirts bore the number of times each stuntman had died throughout the Hollywood project, which for some exceeded 20. The move comes a few years after he reportedly celebrated the end of production by featuring members of his stunt team with Rolex Submariners.

Although earning the “nicest guy in Hollywood” badge was no small feat, Reeves continued to uphold that status. Fight coordinator Jeremy Marinas lit up his latest act of kindness during a recent chat about scenes from the action movie.

Focusing on the fight scene, which takes place on the staircase leading to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Paris and involves 35 stuntmen, Marinas began:

“It’s like, of course, that’s what you want. You want 100 guys falling down the stairs, and you want me to do every reaction and fall differently. Of course you do. It felt like we were just [at] another day of work.

The cast and crew spent seven nights filming the stair fight, with each stuntman likely “killed” four or five times. Their efforts have not been in vain, as the coordinator added, for The Independent:

“At the end of filming, Reeves made t-shirts for the stuntmen with the number of times they were killed during the entire film.”

Reeves first showed his gratitude for his on-screen fighters when he invited four of them to dinner after filming for the franchise’s fourth installment wrapped in 2021.

While there, the Canadian superstar is said to have given each guest – Jeremy Marinas, Li Qiang, Dave Camarillo and Bruce Concepcion – their very own Rolex watch, one of which is said to cost nearly $10,000 (£7,000).

Fans can’t wait to see what the ‘My Own Private Idaho’ indie star would do for his stunt team after the incredible success of ‘John Wick 4.’ The Blast shared this the film, released on Friday, March 24, became an outright hit, grossing $73.5 million — its highest to date — in its opening weekend.
