De Leon and Jones were married on October 9, 2005 at Avica Weddings and Resort on Queensland’s Gold Coast. De Leon left Hi-5 permanently in July 2007 to raise Mikayla. De Leon indicated that she was still interested in working in television, but only if she could do it in her hometown of Sydney, where she grew up. de Leon was the first of the original members to leave Hi-5 permanently. De Leon started singing and moving at an early age. She practiced playing the guitar, prompting her parents to enroll her at McDonald School, a school for selective expression in Sydney, Australia. She earned the Roberta Armstrong and Kelloggs scholarships to learn in school, where she focused on dance, performing and voice for several years while doing proficient essays in her extra time.

De Leon also prepared with the Australian School of Diversion at Palace Slope, New South Grains. She has also appeared on Australia’s New Faces TV show – where she came third in the latest terrific – and has appeared on various Australian TV programs including Disaster High, Ridgey Didge, Trade Shop and At Home Show with John Mangos.
It was while performing at a McDonald School pledge drive that de Leon was tracked down by one of the heads of the Cameron Mac organization. She appeared in two musicals in Australia put on by the Mac organization, Miss Saigon and Lease. She stayed with the cast of Lease (where she was Christine Anu’s student for Mimi’s position) and served as dance commander for melodic, until being cast in Howdy 5 in 1998.
