“…while they were growing up, civil war broke out. My dad was actually forced to be a teenage soldier by the government. He was therefore forced into combat. My mother was trying to help her mother with household chores at the time. My mother always told me that she would see corpses at the time when going to school… They were around 19/20 years old when they made their trip to the United States.
On February 13, 2023, Jorge took to Instagram to inform his followers that his father was officially an American citizen from a teenage Civil War soldier in El Salvador to an American citizen. He also thanked his father for all the sacrifices he made saying he gave him and his siblings a chance to pursue their American dream.
Jorge also has an uncle, Saul Rodriguez, a sports journalist for Telemundo.
