Bounce TV drama Johnson is expected to return for a third season this summer.
In an announcement this week, Bounce said the series had been renewed, with new episodes set to air in August.
The series follows four black men – Omar, Greg, Keith and Jarvis who met in elementary school and have been best friends ever since. They all have the same last name, Johnson, but are unrelated. After 25 years of friendship, they find themselves in very different places in their lives, threatening their bond.
This summer, Bounce will also air new episodes of freshman comedy series. Act according to your age. And the network is preparing a June 19 documentary special about civil rights pioneer Xernona Clayton titled A life in black and white.
“From the continued momentum of our latest hit in act your ageon the return of one of our essentials with Johnson and a deeply moving documentary telling the largely untold story of cultural treasure Xernona Clayton, viewers of Bounce have plenty to be excited about this summer,” said David Hudson, head of original programming at Scripps Networks, in a statement. press.

Johnson
The popular comedy-drama that centers on four lifelong best friends, who all share the same last name, premieres Saturday, August 5 at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT with two all-new back-to-back episodes. Filmed on location in Atlanta, the series is a journey of love, self-discovery, and brotherhood told from the perspective of black men, but inclusive of all men.
act your age
act your age returns Saturday, June 3 with two back-to-back new episodes starting at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT. Premieres kicks off the second half of the 16-episode first season of Act according to your age, running weekly on Saturday evenings throughout the summer. Ahead of the summer run, Bounce will air the first seven episodes of spring as double-feature doubles every Saturday night at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT starting April 29. A Spring Season Marathon is scheduled for Saturday, May 27 starting at 5:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. CT.
Xernona Clayton: A Life in Black and White
The new documentary will celebrate the life of perhaps the most misunderstood civil rights icon and African-American trailblazer of our time. The film will trace the nearly century-long life of Clayton as it pays tribute to an extraordinary woman, from her years of close association with Dr. Martin Luther King and Coretta Scott King, to her pioneering career in broadcasting with Ted Turner. . Clayton founded The Trumpet Awards, which were acquired by Bounce in 2016.
