Joe Dana is an American Emmy Award-winning anchor/reporter working for 12News as an anchor and watchdog reporter. Prior to joining the network, he was a conservative news desk clerk in Washington DC.

Dana works for 12News and is part of the watchdog reporter and presenter 12News I-Team. Having been on the network for over a decade, Dana has received several awards in broadcast and print reporting. The awards included two first place awards from the Division Nine Society of Professional Journalists. He later became a field reporter for an Emmy Award-winning military health care special in 2015 and an Emmy Award-winning newscast 12News Today in 2013.
A native of Glendale and a fourth-generation Arizonan, he was tenured as a teenager at Apollo High School in Glendale as an editor and junior reporter for The Arizona Republic. Later, after high school, he went to the Institute of Political Journalism at Georgetown University. He also went to Brigham Young University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast and print journalism. Prior to joining the network, he was a conservative news desk clerk in Washington DC.
Having presented several issues ranging from capital murder trials to education funding. Additionally, he has also investigated immigration in southern Arizona and polygamy in northern Arizona. He is also convinced that his first priority is to hold the powerful and the politicians accountable for their actions. In his spare time, he participates in the mentoring program as an ambassador and volunteer mentor. He is also an advocate for first responder PTSD treatment in Phoenix.
