After the New York Times reported that Trump would be indicted by a Manhattan grand jury, in defense of Trump, Fox News host Jesse Watters said something truly astounding.
Fox News host Trey Gowdy said the indictment was a farce because the charges should be a misdemeanor and it’s the beginning of the end for the US justice system.
“Trey, did the Democrats just indict a former president for sex?” Watters groaned.
Republicans developed an entire cottage industry in the 90s dedicated to destroying Bill Clinton over oral sex with Monica Lewinsky, which morphed into Fox News, Pizzagate, QAnon and today’s MAGA cult. However, Clinton did not use campaign money to pay Lewinsky to keep quiet so the matter would not ruin his chances of being elected.
“Because we were told in the 90s that it was just sex and it was just a private deal and it had nothing to do with politics and nothing to do with politics,” said said Watters. “Were we not told that?
“And you must understand, [Trump] says he didn’t sleep with that woman. She had her hand out – So it’s either a consensual sexual encounter or a shakedown,” Watters shouted. “The Democrats want to make it a crime?
Watters doesn’t seem to remember when Trump admitted on tape to having sexually assaulted countless women because he was a celebrity.
Michael Cohen predicted this was a big deal for Trump years ago.
Trump preempted the indictment last week and tried to intimidate the grand jury and the Manhattan prosecutor, and it appeared for the first time that he had dodged a bullet for the time being, but again , Trump has lost a lot.
Update: There’s more of him, including the threat that “people better be careful.”
