Biography of Jeff Zausch
Jeff Zausch is an American survivalist, adventurer, and television personality. He is best known for his appearances on the Discovery Channel reality series “Naked and Afraid.”
Zausch has appeared in numerous seasons of the show, including “Naked and Afraid XL”; a spin-off series from Naked and Afraid. He is known for his survival skills, particularly his expertise in making fire, earning him the nickname “Fire God” among his fellow cast members.
Prior to his appearances on “Naked and Afraid,” Zausch worked as a professional rafting and kayaking guide in the Grand Canyon. He has also done many outdoor expeditions, including climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and hiking to the South Pole.
Zausch is an advocate for environmental conservation and has participated in various charity expeditions to raise awareness and funds for conservation efforts.

Zausch completed four 21-day challenges on Naked and Afraid with four different partners: Eva Rupert in Madagascar (Season 1), EJ Snyder in Colombia (Season 3), Laura Zerra in Ecuador (Season 4) and Gabrielle Balassone in Mongolia (season 10).
Zausch also completed two 40-day challenges on Naked and Afraid XL with multiple partners: in South Africa (Season 1) and the Philippines (Season 5). He also completed a 14-day challenge on Naked and Afraid of Sharks with three other survivalists: Steven Lee Hall Jr., Alex Maynard and Amber Hargrove.
He has never tapped or been medically evacuated from any of his challenges.
