John Huck is an Emmy Award-winning veteran reporter for KVVU Fox 5 News where he hosts the evening news on weeknights alongside Jaclyn Schultz. He was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame for serving over 20 years in the broadcasting industry in 2010. In 2004, he was the first reporter in the Valley to uncover possible mortgage fraud involving Countrywide, years before the nationwide real estate crash. He also told the story of a valley sleeper who swindled HUD out of thousands of dollars while keeping tenants in miserable conditions.
He previously worked at CNN (1992-1997) as a correspondent for Newsource. He has covered the Oklahoma City bombing, the OJ Simpson murder trial, the Olympic Park bombing, the US military intervention in Haiti, as well as numerous natural disasters. In January 1994, during the Northridge earthquake, he was a replacement presenter for Headline News and was on the desk.
After leaving CNN, he joined WPGH-TV as an anchor and reporter. He was the main anchor of the 10 p.m. news. It was even named best local newscast by the Associated Press. In 2002 he moved to Los Angeles, where he joined KCBS-TV as a reporter for the CBS O&O
