According to Rogers County authorities, an elderly couple residing near Highway 20 and East 161st Avenue were discovered dead inside their home.
Both husband and wife were found with gunshot wounds and, based on existing evidence, investigators believe the husband shot and killed his wife before turning the gun on himself.
According to deputies, family members received text messages about the husband around 4:30 a.m.
Later, when they arrived home, they found the couple dead.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) was called in to assist with the crime scene investigation.
Investigators are currently trying to determine the cause of the shooting.
