Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, the former child star of “Toddlers & Tiaras” and “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” is a high school graduate.

The 18-year-old shared the news of her academic success on her Instagram account, posting a photo of herself in a blue cap and dress with a bouquet of flowers. She captioned the photo: “I did it! Class of 2023! I’m so proud of myself!”

Future plans

Thompson also revealed her plans for the future, saying she wanted to pursue a career in nursing. She told People magazine that she has always been interested in helping others and hopes to make a difference in people’s lives.

“I want to be a nurse because I love taking care of people and I want to save lives,” she said. “I’ve seen a lot in my life and I think nursing is something I would be good at.”

Thompson added that she is grateful for the support of her family, especially her sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, who has been her legal guardian since their mother June “Mama June” Shannon struggled with drug addiction and legal issues.

“Pumpkin has been my rock through everything,” Thompson said. “She helped me with my homework, she encouraged me to pursue my dreams and she always made sure I had everything I needed. She’s not just my sister, she’s my best friend.

Thompson also said she has a good relationship with her mother now after Mama June completed a year of sobriety and was reunited with her daughters.

“I love my mom and I’m glad she’s doing better,” Thompson said. “She’s been through a lot and she’s come a long way. She always tells me how proud she is of me and how much she loves me.

Thompson also thanked her fans for their love and support over the years, saying they’ve helped her grow as a person and overcome challenges.

“I appreciate all the people who watched me grow up on TV and supported me through everything,” Thompson said. “They’ve seen me at my best and at my worst, and they’ve always been there for me. They’re like family to me.

Thompson said she is excited about the next chapter in her life and hopes to inspire others with her story.

“I want to show people that no matter where you’re from or what you’ve been through, you can achieve anything you set your mind to,” Thompson said. “Just work hard, stay positive and never give up.”
