What is Cheryl Burke’s current relationship status?
Cheryl Burke is currently living a single life. The ballroom dancer, 39, was candid about her encounter life in a recent interview with E ! News at the Race To Erase MS 30th Anniversary Gala in Los Angeles on Friday, June 2.
She said on the way out,
“I am literally dating myself. I know it sounds so, like, cliche, ‘OK whatever.’ No, but really, I’m not looking, I’m not interested at the moment.
She later admitted she hadn’t been “a great picker” of partners, reflecting her failed marriage to ex-husband Matthew Lawrence. Burke continued,
“But until I change this model – I really have to change the model authentically, otherwise I will continue to choose maybe not the right ones for me.”
However, the Dancing With the Stars alum mentioned she still has a lot of love in her life when noticing her dog Ysabella. She says
“I’m dating my dog for god’s sake. They don’t have an opinion, they’re awesome, they’re cute and they might smell a little but that’s okay.

Cheryl has given an update on her relationship status nearly a year after her divorce from Matthew. In February 2022, the former couple announced they were separating after nearly three years of marriage.
Later that same year, they finalized their divorce. Matthew, on the other hand, has already moved on as he is currently dating TLC member Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas.
The new couple made their romance instagram official on New Year’s Eve.
What is Cheryl Burke doing now?
Well Cheryl is gone Dancing with the stars in November 2022 after working for nearly 17 years on the show. She has now pursued other endeavors as she is soon launching her own podcast show.
In the same interview, the reality TV star and dancer admitted that she was focusing on the inside job. She says,
“For me, it was more about working myself from the inside out, and it’s been an interesting adventure the last two years, but I’ve learned so much. It puts everything in perspective, life in general.
“I’ve defined myself by everything that I shouldn’t have in a way because it’s so temporary – whether it’s your job, or your marriage or whatever, right? At the end of the day, it really starts with you, and you’re stuck with yourself and loving yourself better. And I’ve done a lot of work, and finally I can say I’m doing it.
Burke concludes by noting that she continues to grow and hopes to pass on what she has learned and help others. She says,
“I’m a work in progress forever, and it’s something that has been, in a way, instructive that I want to continue to share with the world. Because I don’t think I’m a professional by any means, but I’ve certainly been through a lot.
