GoldenEye 007 is available today. Since the game is not sold separately, you may be wondering what are the ways to play it. If you’re looking to discover or rediscover this classic from a rare studio, you have two options. The first is to play games on Xbox or mobile by subscribing to Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The other is the owner of the Rare Replay game, a compilation of Rare classics. However, in the latter case, a condition must be met.
Only digital version is compatible
Released in 2015, Rare Replay is playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Title is available in dematerialized as well as physical form. When GoldenEye 007 was announced, we learned that Rare Replay owners could download the game for free upon release.

Due to differences between physical and digital licensing, we were only able to add GoldenEye 007 for owners of Rare Replay digital copies. Buying the game digitally or subscribing to Xbox Game Pass will give you access to the game! Our apologies for any disappointment.
Physically owning the Rare Replay collection therefore does not entitle you to receive GoldenEye 007 for free. The latter isn’t sold separately on the Microsoft Store, so you’ll need to purchase Rare Replay in the dematerialized version or subscribe to Xbox Game Pass to enjoy it.
