Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth’s marriage just got more platonic
Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth are amicably ending their long marriage.
The Oscar-winning actress and her talent agent husband released a joint statement on Friday announcing their separation. The not-so-shocking announcement comes days before their 12th wedding anniversary on Sunday.
A source close to the couple said:
“There’s no big scandal or drama, just two people who have basically become co-parents and don’t really have romantic feelings for each other anymore,”
A second source close to the estranged couple also pointed out that they have not yet filed for divorce and informed fans that they “will continue to work together.”
The first source claimed that the Revenge of a Blonde actress, 47 years old, “Once loved the fact that [Toth] was just a solid, reliable, stable guy.‘It was a good start for her afterwards’‘shitty years’ with her first marriage to Ryan Phillippe.
Reese was just 23 in 1999 and pregnant with her first child when she married her Cruel Intentions co-starred.
Witherspoon and Phillippe, 48, also had a daughter Ava23 years old and son Deacon19 before their separation in 2006. They finalized their divorce in 2006.
Later, the couple blamed their young age for marriage as the reason for their separation. After some issues, the two likable exes are now co-parenting their children.
A year after finalizing their divorce, the Wild star has struck up a romantic relationship with her Interpretation co-star Jake Gyllenhaal.
Reese once called his 42-year-old co-actor very supportive, but called him out in 2009.
The source also claimed that the booker who married Reese in 2011 after a year of dating,
“Jim’s relative safety and security was super appealing [in the beginning]”,

Reese and Jim will be co-parenting their young son
Before they finally decided to end their marriage, it was reported “zero spark and zero romance remainingbetween the estranged couple. They also share a 10-year-old son Tennessee.
The insider added,
“She also became much more powerful than she was when they got married and expanded her areas of interest in so many ways,”
The Oscar-winning actress also reportedly sold her media company, Hello Sunshine in 2021 for an estimated $900 million.
Toth was also “much of Hello Sunshine” And “in other companies and boards of directors.”
Noting that the now exes share a great love of sports and running, the source added, “They have built a lot together“,
The insider went on to say, Reese and Jim “I spent 12 truly incredible years” but this “their lives evolved in a way that made them want to make this decision together.
They added,
“It was really discussed and thought through and it was a mutually worked out situation,”
“The time will always be difficult to make it known to the public.”
“Even in the best and friendliest of circumstances, it’s hard for a family to get through.”
