Filming on Jamie Foxx movie temporarily halted after actor was hospitalized

The production team of Jamie Foxx’s next film Back to action temporarily “closed” filming following the actor’s hospitalization in Atlanta.

A source said People Filming for the magazine was halted on Wednesday as producers decided how to proceed.

Filming resumed on Thursday with a replacement used in place of Foxx, the outlet reported.

According to an email obtained by the magazine about the project, a casting director for the film informed extras that a scene scheduled to be shot this Sunday has been canceled due to “production changes.”

Scenes scheduled to shoot on Monday and Tuesday are expected to continue as planned, the memo adds.

Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close also have roles in the action movie, which will be released on Netflix.

Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, posted a statement on Instagram on Wednesday from the Foxx family informing fans that the actor is recovering from an undisclosed illness.

“We wanted to share that my dad, Jamie Foxx, had a medical complication yesterday (April 11),” Corinne shared. “Thankfully, with quick action and great care, he is already on the road to recovery. We know how much he is loved and appreciate your prayers. The family is asking for privacy during this time.

Well wishes have since poured in on social media for Foxx.

The Oscar-winning actor Ray Co-star Kerry Washington posted a throwback photo of the two together on Instagram.

“A message of appreciation @iamjamiefoxx,” Washington wrote. “Sending you all the love and prayers from my movie huzbin.”

The actor and comedian The Jamie Foxx Show co-star Garcelle Beauvais also shared kind words and included a throwback photo of the two on Instagram.

“This is a message of appreciation for my friend @iamjamiefoxx,” Beauvais captioned the post. “J, I love you so much!!! I want and need you to get well soon, sending you light love and prayers.

Foxx’s friend In living color alum David Alan Grier also sent his best wishes.

“I pray for you Jamie Foxx. Get well soon!” Grier tweeted.

Comedian Martin Lawrence job a photo of him with Foxx on Twitter and included the caption: “My family and I lift you up in prayer. Much love and many blessings my brother.

Representatives for Foxx did not respond to requests for comment on his hospitalization.
