Emily Blunt will be away from the big screen for at least a year
Emily Blunt is taking a well deserved break from Hollywood.
The British star who stars in the highly anticipated Oppenheimer revealed that she will be away from the movie screen for almost a year.
During an appearance on iHeart’s Table for two with Brice Bozzi podcast, the A silent place star said,
“This year, I am not working. I did a fair amount of work last year and my eldest baby is nine, so we’re in the final single-digit year.

The beloved mom continued,
“And I just feel [like] there are cornerstones of their day that are so important when they are little,”
“And it’s, ‘Will you wake me up? Will you take me to school? Will you pick me up? Will you put me to bed? And I just need to be there for everyone. them for quite a while. And I just felt it in my bones.
Blunt noted that there is a great emotional cost to her and her family when she takes on time-consuming projects.
She revealed that she is very prone to guilt.
Emily explained,
“I think maybe all mothers are,”
“You’re just prone to feeling bad because, God forbid, you want something outside of being a mother.”
Blunt added,
“I’m a big advocate for that – I’m a big advocate for women’s ambition. They’re just dreams with a purpose, it’s not a bad word.

Emily doesn’t want her daughters in Hollywood
Emily’s shocking decision comes after she confessed she doesn’t want her daughters to follow in her footsteps.
The 40-year-old star said the tough industry can be very disappointing for female stars because of its superficial element.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Blunt said:
“My toes curl when people tell me, ‘My daughter wants to be an actress.’ I want to say ‘don’t do it'”
“Because it’s a tough industry and it can be very disappointing. A lot of people tell you not to take things personally, but that’s completely personal, especially when you’re being judged on your looks. So you just have to put up with that side of things.
Blunt admitted that his children were completely divorced from his fame and stardom.
She told the publication,
“When I see myself on a billboard, I have this complete dissociation with it… I’m like, who is that? And I can see my kids doing the same thing – they might say, oh, there’s mom, but it’s not exciting for them.
Blunt added,
“What’s exciting for them is when I can pick them up from school and take them swimming.”
