The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has swung the publication of an expected schedule from Dumsor to a possible load shedding exercise that will affect the country.
The load shedding is believed to be due to a shutdown of the Atuabo gas processing plant in the Western region for 14 days.

The move will pave the way for maintenance work and as a result the gas supply to some power stations will be affected and eventually lead to supply interruptions.
The Department of Energy explained in a statement that the move is consistent with ensuring a reliable power supply through robust and necessary maintenance activities.
