When you’re a kid, it’s like doomsday every time you have to tell your parents bad news, especially if the bad news is about you, and especially if you’re the one behind the bad news.

That’s probably why so many people are cracking up over this viral throwback video currently trending on TikTok that shows a young man who actually went on a rampage after accidentally shooting his BB gun at the glass door of his house. . He called his mother to let her know what had happened and he was so scared of her reaction that he literally packed his bags and started walking down the road.
All the while, someone else, presumably someone close to the family, is recording their interaction. In the video, the child’s anxiety, fear and worry are recorded, along with the impending sense of doom his siblings experience second-hand as they watch, largely in silence, as their brother telling his mother what happened in a clip originally uploaded by Harold Hilton Jr. on Twitter,

“Bro, do you understand what your mom is about to do to you?” Harold says to the young man as he paces the house looking for a phone to call his mother and let her know what happened.

“Where’s my cell phone?” asks the young man, looking around the house. The clip then cuts him off holding the device to his ear, waiting for his mother to respond.
“My brother is so scared he’s about to report himself,” the same person says off-camera.

“Mom,” the child says as the recorder laughs. “When I was shooting the BB gun, I accidentally shot the window, it accidentally hit the glass door. And all the glass fell out,” he has a deeply worried look in his eyes, as he frowns eyebrows when relaying information.

His mother says something unnoticeable to him, to which he replies, “Yes…the screen door.” The video then cuts to an older child in the house who has the same phone up to his ear, a woman’s voice can be heard speaking to him on the other line.

Other people in the house see the mess created by the errant BB shot, and they watch as the young man, who we learn in the video is called Rome, picks up a broom and cleans up the broken glass on the porch of the house.

After cleaning up the majority of the mess, Rome can then be seen packing a bag with clothes into a room. Harold then asks him: “What are you doing in Rome?”
“I’m packing my bags,” he said.
“For what?” asks the recorder.
“I can’t do it,” Rome replies.
“Do what?”
“I can’t stand it,” he said.

The next clip shows Rome walking away from home and down the road. He shouts, “I’m not coming back!”
“Rome, come back brother!” the recorder shouts as the child looks back but keeps walking, his luggage dragging behind him.

The recorder then sweeps up the rest of the glass but reveals that the young man just pushed it off the porch instead of putting it in a dustpan in order to dispose of it properly. The clip ends with the sun shining, which the person who posted the video says is a sign that the little man may have hope.

In a follow-up clip, it looks like Rome has managed to make it home, and Harold recorded the young man’s mother’s reaction after he returned home.

Harold has also posted a number of interviews with other family members which give further insight into the situation, after all was said and done Rome seemed to be okay with how it all turned out .
