Investors Mutual founder Anton Tagliaferro says there is still a lag with the impact of interest rates as central banks grapple with trying to stage a soft landing.

“If you push too hard the economy crashes, if you let it go too easy people keep spending,” he told Sky News Business editor Ross Greenwood.

“And that’s where we are at the moment, so no one knows exactly how high the rates have to go.”
