NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police are searching for two gunmen who fatally shot a 30-year-old man yesterday afternoon and struck an elementary school student with their vehicle as they fled the scene of the crime.
According to the police, the victim of the shooting is hospitalized in serious condition while the elementary school student is in stable condition. The incident reportedly happened in the Fox Hill area.
Preliminary reports indicate that around 3:35 p.m. the victim arriving at his residence located on Mandingo Alley was approached by two men who got out of a burgundy Japanese vehicle. It is reported that the men who were both armed with guns opened fire on the victim which resulted in him being shot several times.
Police said as the suspects fled down Johnson Road, a student from a nearby primary school was struck by their vehicle. The two victims were transported to the PMH via a private vehicle.
