Less than a month before Title 42 of the Emergency Health Authority expires, the US State Department awarded the Ukrainian Border Patrol a solid seven-figure grant.
The grant, which is easily accessible on the federal government’s online spending database, began on April 18, 2023 and is due to expire on October 16. The deal, which currently allocated $1,011,625 in taxpayer funds, could potentially be increased to a total of $1,980,750 and extended through March next year.
The State Department awarded the grant to Bizzell Corp, a Wyoming-based logistics company, for “the manufacture and delivery of dugout shelters for the Ukraine Border Guard Service.” Reports reveal that the company will provide Ukraine with 100 field accommodation dugouts.
“These portable bunkers, built like cargo containers, are designed to be buried underground near the Ukrainian border to provide a small living shelter for soldiers on the front lines.
“Based on this work, Bizzell provides emergency assistance to SBGS, constructing accommodation canoes in the field and delivering them to various locations on Ukraine’s northern border. The SBGS is an independent law enforcement agency, organized by the Constitution of Ukraine as a military formation, the head of which is subordinate to the President of Ukraine. They are responsible for ensuring the inviolability of the state’s borders and the protection of sovereign rights in its exclusive economic (maritime) zone.
Orders must be delivered in increments of 20 units per month, with the first order to be delivered by May 31, 2023.
The seven-figure subsidy comes amid billions of US taxpayer dollars pouring into Ukraine with little idea where the funds are going, despite the Eastern European country’s notoriety for corruption and trade deals with President Biden’s son, Hunter. The subsidy also began less than a month before Title 42 expired, resulting in an influx of illegal immigrants into the United States beginning May 12.
