A road drama sparked mourning in Peru on Saturday. At least 24 people, including Haitians, were killed when a bus plunged off a cliff for an unknown reason in the Piura region, north of Lima.
Police said without giving their numbers that several people were also injured and taken to hospitals in El Alto and Mancora in the area. There were 60 passengers in the bus.

During the crash, several passengers ejected from the windows and others were trapped inside the vehicle.
The Q’orianka Tours bus had left Lima and was on its way to Tumbe, on the border with Ecuador. In a deserted area near the city of Organos, he wandered about 260 kilometers along the way to reach his destination.
